European High Magnetic Field Theory Group
Theory support group
Within the SCN a European High Magnetic Field Theory Group is formed, where
the work of theoretical groups is co-ordinated by HAIT.
In addition to secondment of individual theorists to participants of the I3 (in total to
about 32 person-months), a specific activity of the theory group is a creation of
the European Interactive Center (EIC) consisting of:
- An Electronic Database concerning the activities in HMF subjects;
- A Pedagogical Database, with material for students (Lecture Notes and
recommendations on available textbooks);
- An electronic Journal on High Magnetic Field (HMF) which combines the high
speed publication of the preprint libraries with the filtering of publications by an
Editorial Board;
- A "Virtual Workshop" where the magnetic field community will be able to
discuss current problems.
